WPPI 2011 MGM VEGAS

Every year around this time we travel out to Vegas tot he MGM for the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International Convention. We take classes, network, check out new products and trends in the industry and get a chance to represent some of the products that sponsor our tour and company such as Albums Inc, Album Epoca, Radiopopper, Bay Photo, Smugmug, and Photoflex.

This year we spent most of our time in the Album Epoca station to help them kickoff the 2011 EVOLUTION line. We are really excited about this as we have been working with them for about a year to produce the new 5:2 albums. They are amazing! We are super excited for all of our brides this year that will have the opportunity to get into one of these!

We got a chance to do some speaking and spend time in each of company’s booth’s that sponsor the Ideal Art Photo Tours and got a few chance to get some images shot of us (for once!!!) and also do some shooting!

We got to spend a lot of time with Micheal Corsentino who is a great friend and talented photographer and editor and we caught Dinner with Laura Beck at the Hard Rock Cafe.

We also got to spent alot of time with other Album Incorporated Photographers such as Bambi Cantrell, Scott Bourne, and Matthew Jordan Smith. Here is a shot of Bambi with my good friend Peter Cardello.

Brian Slawson one of our photographers was able to make the trip this year with Zak Smith and Ryan Bensheimer. We have come to LOVE our incredible customer support team at Albums Inc and here we are with Renee Cardello who is our personal Account Executive.

This year we had the privilege of hosting Federico Casini of Album Epoca who brought Italian World Famous Photographer Flavio Bandiera who like us is also an ALBUM EPOCA Signature Photographer.

All in all it was a GREAT trip. We again want to thank all of our sponsors and everyone who made this possible for us. You are like family to us and we love the time we spend with you!

Album Epoca, Albums INC 2011 Release Party in Vegas!

Last weekend was such an honor. Album Epoca, our FANTASTIC Album Company, put; Ryan, Zak and Josh on a plane and flew the three of us out to Las Vegas for the revealing of their 2011 product line. We were joined by some amazing company. Twenty five of some of the most talented and unique photographers in the country were there, in a three suite wing of the Cosmopolitan Hotel that Epoca had rented out.

The Album Line:
What Epoca has in store for us is something we’ve never before seen in albums. They’ve successfully blended Italian Fashion and Wedding Albums. Rita, The Epoca CEO’s wife who just so happens to be highly regarded in the Italian Fashion World, took an interest in her husband’s work. She commented that the albums, though nice looked too masculine. We’ve never really thought of it that way – but she couldn’t be any more correct. She took it upon her self to find all new material to adorn the covers and we’re so glad she did. In particular, the Epoca team has built an album to exact specifications we asked them for less than a year ago, when we first met them at WPPI in Las Vegas. We are SO proud and humbled to have our own imagery represented in the samples of those albums! Furthermore, we can’t wait to show them to you. We’ll have our studio samples soon – or maybe you can catch us at our first Annual Party on Feb 11th.

The Cosmopolitan:
The newest high-end luxury hotel on the Las Vegas skyline opened on Friday. We were some of the first people checked in. This makes us the first to use the rooms, pool and spa. We’ve stayed at various hotels in Las Vegas in the last few years, MGM Grand, Luxor and The Venetian to name a few – they do not compare. Of course we have a few photos for you – but to see it in person is awe inspiring. If you’re planning a trip to Vegas – stay at The Cosmopolitan.

Shot the Sema Show in Las Vegas today. It was day one of the show and I spent most of the day in the Off Road section. Here is a sneak peak… the full res images can be found here.

Teraflex is my all time Favorite and had a GREAT booth. Love theses guys! They were showing of their new CRD 60 (dana 60 axle) and long arm lifts as well as other sweet products!

Rugged Ridge had a GREAT booth and was showing off a whole new JK line. VERY IMPRESSIVE. Here is a tube they started making similar to the one I fabbed for mine!

This is one of the largest Jeeps I have ever seen!!! It is a Superlift sitting on Portal axles like the Mopar Immortal and had 42 inch tires. VERY nice!

First Ideal Wedding at Strawberry Creek

14810 72nd Street Kenosha, WI 53142 – This is the address to The Club at Strawberry Creek. Copy it, google it and make an appointment to see Nicole if you’re still looking for a venue for your upcoming Wedding.

The club has only had the outdoor Wedding Pavilion open for one season, the aisle is short trimmed grass, like a golf green which leads up a stone and brick platform with large overhead timbers. It really is one of a kind. Ideal Impression’s Josh Ruud photographed the out first Wedding there a short time ago. Talissa & Scott Machin were married on a bright, sunny August 28th. Scott, being a photographer himself, had scheduled the day to allow Josh and his assistant, Jameson, ample time to travel around the course and make the most of the beautiful grounds.

Back indoors, the club was opened up for the Wedding, Talissa’s attention to detail was very apparent. Slideshows ran during dinner of the couple growing up. The food was spectacular and the white and blue linen brought the room to life. Thanks, Tal & Scott for having us, and a special thanks to Nicole for so effortlessly accommodating our less than traditional style. The images below certainly speak for themselves.

Wisconsin Bride’s BEST OF

Every year, Wisconsin Bride holds a “Best of” competition where Bridal Venders are voted on by the readers of of the very popular Wisconsin Bride Magazine. The top three finalists in each category are invited to an awards banquet where the winners are announced. The Staff at Wisconsin Bride also use the event to release the “Best Of” special addition of the Magazine. This year for the first time, out of every photographer company in Wisconsin, Ideal Impressions made it to this exclusive venue thanks to all of you who voted!

It felt great being at a reception for us for a change! Fresh fruit, cheese, chocolate dipped strawberries, Neapolitan Ice cream with a banana split station and mini-cheese cakes were just highlights of the desserts served along with more hor’dourves than one person could taste!! (yes, we tried). While we had a great time eating & talking with fellow serious service providers, we also tried out the Photobooth & the event photographer took us outside for a few typical Ideal Impressions Team photos. Yes, we are easily entertained & constantly stepping outside the box.

When it came down to awards time, the Editor-in-chief stopped before announcing the winner for Photography and said, You would not believe the amount of votes we get for this category! We couldn’t have had a better time! Also, a HUGE congrats to our good friend David Caruso at Dynamic Events for taking home the, “Top of the Tiara” award and being recognized as the Best of the Best in Wedding service providing. David is also in the running for his own TV show! Check this out to read more!

It has been a while since we posted an entire album to I thought I would take the liberty! Enjoy

We typically design the album then have the Bride and groom join us at the studio for their suggestions. These albums are handmad in Italy and are a one of a kind. VERY IMPRESSIVE!
